Alter Ego Gets Cracking With Breton
Grip’s new campaign for Dare Breton Crackers sought out Alter Ego Films for the production. David Whiteson took on the directing task, while Eric Whipp stepped in as DP. The spot called for an infinite pull back out of the pack to reveal a new scenario and so on until we end back in the kitchen. After much thought, it was decided that the best method was to shoot using a crane on a dolly to achieve the effect. One scene in the ad required sprouting grains. Without the schedule to actually shoot time-lapse grains, Gene Dreitser took on the task of creating the scene in CG. David then jumped in the chair as Flame Artist to edit and build the comps, while Eric jumped into the colourist chair to create a rich and clean look for the spot.
